Social Assistance in Cash Scheme for Vulnerable Families Seriously Affected by Floods
What is this program?
This program is a program that launched by the Royal Government of Cambodia to facilitate the lives of vulnerable families who are severely affected by floods, while those families have been identified by the Ministry of Planning.
What is the purpose of this program?
To alleviate the living difficulties of vulnerable families seriously affected by the floods in 2022.
Where is this program available?
Vulnerable families of 16 capital and provinces severely affected by floods, including Phnom Penh, Kandal, Takeo, Pursat, Battambang, Banteay Meanchey, Siem Reap Kampong Thom, Kampong Cham, Tbong Khmum, Kratie, Kampong Chhnang, Prey Veng, Kampot, Svay Rieng and Oddar Meanchey provinces.
How can you benefit from the program?
• Vulnerable families severely affected by floods are eligible, if the family is designated and identified as vulnerable families by the Ministry of Planning.
• During the interview, the head of the household or the representative of the head of the household must have a Cambodian identity card. This Khmer Nationality Identity Card is used as a cash payout.

In case the representative doesn’t have a Khmer Nationality Identity Card:
• The Ministry of Planning will generate a replacement ID number for the head of the family to proceed with the cash payout.
• The head of the family will be issued a certificate with a photo for cash payout.

Families at risk and being affected by floods can receive cash support through Wing Bank (Cambodia).
